Dishin’ The Dirt: Gillette Drops “The Best Men Can Be” Video!

We’re now a little over two weeks into the New Year and Gillette is pulling out the big (advertising) guns already.

The new video was obviously going to cause some conversations and after it going viral, we had to share with you all; Gillette decided to go through the more serious route for its latest ad. They incorporated the mention of the #MeToo movement, the “boys will be boys” topic and “toxic masculinity” to prove their point…For men to be at their best.

Their caption reads: Bullying. Harassment. Is this the best a man can get? It's only by challenging ourselves to do more, that we can get closer to our best. To say the right thing, to act the right way. We are taking action at http://www.thebestmencanbe.org. Join us.

The video they posted showed how our youth should be inspired by us and we, as men, should be setting examples. I LOVED it! And as you know, Gillette is known for their motto "A best a man can get," so alongside their video, they announced that their launching their "The Best Men Can Be" campaign. They promise to give $1 million dollars for the next three years to "non-profit organizations executing programs in the United States designed to inspire, educate and help men of all ages achieve their personal "best" and become role models for the next generation." Ya boy is on his way to CVS to get himself a new razor!
